This little girl was dumped in a ditch on Kings Highway with her brothers a couple of months ago. Originally there were five puppies but now just this little girl and two of her brothers remain at the shelter. They are all GREAT with kids! This sweet girl puppy is very loving, likes to cuddle and at times can be a bit shy at times.

These puppies were dumped in a ditch on Kings Highway in Texarkana, Texas recently. The momma dog was with the originally but was no were to be seen when the puppies were picked up. There were originally five puppies but one is no longer with them so we are hoping to find the four remaining pups new homes. These puppies are GREAT with Kids!

UPDATE - ADOPTED! This is possibly the cutest puppy EVER! He is adorable and ready for adoption from the animal shelter in Texarkana. He talks to me in the video below. Diablo is a sweetheart of a dog. He is Less than one year old. Diablo is dire need of some TLC. He seems to be depressed the longer he stays at the shelter. At one point he had a kennel buddy but he was adopted so now Diablo is alone. Diablo will need to be neutered before he can go to a new home. Contact animal shelter at 870-773-6388, ext 3. This young girl donates many, many hours of her time to the dogs at the animal shelter and works hard to help find new homes for loving pets. At just 15 years of age, she understands the meaning of giving back to her community.

As I was walking through the animal shelter one day I spotted this employee taking a few minutes out of her busy day to give some attention to the dogs. Can you imagine working at the shelter? So many dogs come and go. Some find new homes while others are euthanized because no one adopts them. How hard it must be to not be able to save them all!

The animal shelter in Texarkana houses a lot of dogs that are in need of new homes. Adopt if you can otherwise please share the photos so that your friends can see the great dogs that would make great additions to the family.

This Saturday there are no adoption fees to adopt a dog or cat. The shelter will also have animals at the Octoberfest event in Downtown Texarkana. Here are just a few of the dogs that are available for adoption.

UPDATE September 1: Leon is still at the shelter waiting for a new home! Rosco has been adopted. He is a big dog with a big heart. If you are looking for a great family dog you have hit the jackpot!
