We'll admit to not following Syfy's 'Being Human' remake of the UK series bearing the same name, though this is certainly a surprise. The cable network has revealed that season 4 will mark the end of its Sam Witwer-Meaghan Rath-Sam Huntington supernatural drama, but will the final episodes bring the series to an effective close?

The announcement made over a YouTube video from the cast and crew, 'Being Human' will air its final installment on Monday, April 7. "Showrunner Anna Fricke and the talented producers, writers, cast and crew have done an amazing job bringing this show to life over the past four seasons and we sincerely thank them and the series’ production company Muse Entertainment for their hard work," says the network of the surprise cancellation "They’ve saved the best for last with the final six episodes that revisit the story’s beginning, leading to a not-to-be-missed send-off for Aidan, Sally, Josh and Nora.”

This isn't the first Syfy series in recent times to get its pink slip, following similar closures for 'Warehouse 13' and 'Alphas,' while the network concentrates on current offerings like 'Defiance' and 'Helix,' while working on more movie-related series like 'Dominion' and '12 Monkeys.'

You can check out the farewell announcement for Syfy's 'Being Human' above, and tell us in the comments if you'll miss the series after April 7!
