Summer Camp in Texarkana Provides Fun Days For Kids

The first 25 kids to get into this Summer Camp will have a blast.

Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation puts this camp on every year. The kids get to go on field trips and do fun activities at the Southwest Center. When you pick your child up in the afternoon, they will have had a fun time and should be tired from all of the play time.

Here are some of the activities the kids will do this summer:

• Discovery Place
• Splash Pad in Spring Lake Park
• Movie Theater
• Scavenger Hunts at Area Parks
• Tour Fire Station
• Bowling
• Guest Speakers
• Play Sports

Summer Camp is 9AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday, from June 20 to July 21, except for the week of July 4th. There will be no camp from July 3 to July 7. Kids ages 6 to 14 are eligible.

Sign up is Monday, May 22 at 8AM at the Southwest Center office, 3222 W 7th St, Texarkana, Texas. Only the first 25 kids will be accepted. The fee for the camp is $150 and covers all of the expenses for the trips as well as breakfast and lunch. For more information call 903-798-3978.
