How cool is this? Students getting real hands-on training in the marketing world.

Some of the 7th and 8th grade students at North Heights Junior High will present their Marketing Plan projects to local businesses at the Business Expo at 5:30 p.m. February 19 at the school located at 2118 East 35 Street in Texarkana, Ark.

NHJH students have researched the marketing needs for the partnering businesses and have designed real-world plans for each business in which 21st century skills such as creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking were implemented while using 100 percent technology. As an Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy, students at NHJH are taught how to apply their presentation, technology, and 21st Century skills through project-based learning in order to be college and career-ready.

These Marketing Plans will be presented to the partnering businesses at the Business Expo Thursday, February 19th. An award ceremony will conclude the presentations to celebrate the students' accomplishments for all stakeholders in attendance.

Business Partners include:
La Fogata Mexican Restaurant
