Street Conversion Happening Today

Texarkana Arkansas Public Works Department has converted some one-way streets to two-way traffic.The conversion of East Third and East 4th Streets to two-way traffice from Hickory Street to Stateline has now been completed. The city is urging motorists to be extra cautious while driving these streets until people get familiar with the change.

One-way signs and arrows have been removed and stop signs at selected street intersections have been installed as well as stop bars painted on the street surface at these intersections. New street markings, reflectors, and directional signs complete the project.
