Former Pleasant Grove star Michael Wacha is scheduled to pitch Game Two of the World Series Thursday night in Boston.Wacha has had a tremendous rookie year in both the minor and major leagues in the Cardinal organization. However in his last four starts he has been unbelievable.

It started with his last regular season start against the Washington Nationals where he carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning. Then he carried a no-hitter late in Game Five of the NLDS against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wacha's two starts in the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers were also incredible. He pitched shut out ball into the late innings in both games before turning it over to the bullpen to finish the game.

The Cardinals will likely need two more quality starts out of their Texarkana rookie if they are to successfully bring home their third World Series Championship since 2006.
