Dog Adoptions This Saturday in Texarkana
May 23, 2013 11:39 AM Adopt a dog this Saturday at Old Navy in Texarkana. The Pet Adoption Event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until about 4 p.m.
Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, Red Heeler Mix's, Australian Shepard mix's, several other mix breeds, large and small will be looking for homes.

Litter of Puppies Found After Momma Dog and Pups Where Separated for 5 Days [PHOTOS/VIDEO]
May 23, 2013 9:15 AM PUPPIES FOUND! I can't believe it worked! I picked a stray momma dog up on Saturday. She was hanging out looking for food at Hot Tails Crawfish located on Hwy 71 at DuJack's Liquor Store--five miles out of town with no homes in sight. She was destined to be ran over if I left here there. She kept weaving between the cars, looking as if she was lost. She was painfully skinny.
I took her to the vet on Tuesday hoping she was still pregnant. She wasn't. She ALREADY had puppies and they were out there somewhere. On the advice of Dr. Stacey Swain Hendershott I took the momma dog back to where I found her and let her lead me to the puppies.

Wildlife Rescue in Texarkana Needs Towels
May 22, 2013 8:09 AM Toby's Tales is a wildlife rescue in Texarkana, the only wildlife rescue that I know of in the area. They are in need of towels to use with the deer babies until they can be left outside full time. If you have any towels you can donate please take them to Rankin Vet Clinic in Nash.

May 21, 2013 7:44 AM Adele is a little over one year old. She looks big but she isn't. She is a medium-size dog, approximately 20 pounds. She loves to play ball and is very sweet. Very loyal.
Adele looks like a pomeranian mix--I actually had two poms bigger than her. Great dogs!

May 16, 2013 11:54 AM If you are looking to adopt a pet, be sure to go to Petsmart this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Texarkana, Texas. Texarkana Animal League is hosting an adoption event to accept applications for adopting or fostering currently-homeless dog and cats. There will be a variety of dogs and cats looking for homes. Adoption fees vary per dog, and cat adoption fees are $80. All of these animals are current on their vaccines and have been spayed or neutered; many are even microchipped.

Local 10-Year Old Author Has Book Signing on Saturday
May 16, 2013 11:28 AM Haylee Wren is a 10-year old from Texarkana and she has a very special talent for writing. Haylee has contributed several of her favorite stories to Writers Among Us, a book that is a collection of short stories with many local authors.
Combining Haylee's talent of writing and her love of animals, Haylee has masterminded a fundraiser for a local dog rescue at her book signing this Saturday at Genoa Feed and Hardware on Hwy 196.

Missing Dogs! Texarkana [PHOTOS]
May 16, 2013 8:35 AM Sierra is a German Shepherd Dog that was last seen in the Genoa area this weekend. She is approximately 4 to 5 years old, very-very friendly, wearing a red collar with tags at the time she disappeared. Her ears are up-right, but she tends to put them down a lot too.
