The weather was very crazy this past weekend. I guess technically it was our typical May storms but they seemed to come through with a vengeance.

I was working at the crawfish hut on Friday night when the storms hit and I wound up driving through some pretty nasty rain and wind. It was scary, but I just had to get home to feel safe. Then on Saturday night, it got even scarier. There were many reports on Facebook about sightings of funnel clouds and other reports claiming there were tornadoes on Arkansas Boulevard and another on Richmond Road.

Here are a couple of videos that I took from the crawfish stand. The cloud over the liquor store looked pretty ominous.

Several of us took shelter in the liquor store because it was more sturdy than a food stand on wheels.

I just had to see for myself what was on the other side of the building. Was there a cloud dropping out of that nasty looking black mass of a storm cloud?

When the wind started blowing and we looked on the radar and saw another line of nasty storms headed our way I made a break for it to get home. I made it home safe and sound, thankfully.

Last night's storms were also very scary because at night you can't see what is coming your way.
