Road Repairs to Begin on Arkansas Boulevard

The City of Texarkana, Arkansas is about to begin repairs on Arkansas BoulevardThe work will begin on Monday June 17th. The project is part of the 2012 Street Bond Program and will rehab Arkansas Boulevard from State Line Avenue to Broad Street (Highway 67).

The project will occur in phases, with initial work including repaving near the intersection with State Line. the second phase will repave the intersection at Jefferson Avenue, and the final phase will include resurfacing the asphalt the length of the project.

Lane closures will be necessary during the construction and access to driveways may be prohibited for short durations. Work on the project should be mainly from around 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project should be complete by the end of August.
