Rihanna Confirms Details of New Single, “Diamonds”
Rihanna has gone from “yellow diamonds in the light” to just “Diamonds.” That’s the name of her new single, and it’ll make its debut this Wednesday at 8 a.m. ET on radio stations worldwide. At 9 a.m. ET, the song will hit iTunes. “Diamonds” inspired the title of Ri-Ri’s upcoming world tour, which kicks off March 8 in Buffalo, New York. Tickets are currently on sale; the tour is scheduled to wrap May 4 in Brooklyn, New York.
The artwork for “Diamonds” shows a pair of female hands, which we assume are Rihanna’s, rolling what appears to be a cigarette, but instead of tobacco, she’s rolling loose diamonds.
“Diamonds,” the first single from Rihanna’s seventh album, was produced by Stargate, the team behind her hits “Unfaithful,” “Take a Bow,” “Only Girl (in the World),” “What’s My Name” and “Don’t Stop the Music.”
