Provide a Pet a Pad — Help This Shelter Dog Find a Home

UPDATE September 1 - Sahara has been ADOPTED!

Sahara is a shepherd mix. She is approximately one and a half years old. An energetic dog with a great personality. She is tall and lanky now since she is still in the puppy stage, once she is filled out completely you can expect her to be a large dog. Sahara is very friendly and fun. She has a wonderful character and could easily learn to play fetch.

The fee to adopt her is approximately $178, which includes a $40 adoption fee and a the fee to have her spayed, which is mandatory for all animals adopted from the shelter. She comes with a FREE basic survival kit from Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital valued at $100! This kit includes everything that is not performed when she is taken to be spayed. That means any vaccinations she needs, testing for worms, one month’s treatment for fleas and heart worms and so much more.

If you are looking for a different type of dog or maybe you want a cat, there are so may other animals at the shelter that need good homes. The adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet.

You can also have your pet micro-chipped for only $20 right at the shelter! That way if your pet is ever lost, he can be returned to you quickly.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, Ark. 71854 and is open Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
