Provide a Pet a Pad for Malorie at the Animal Shelter

Malorie is an Old English Sheepdog. She is young and very puppish. She loves to romp around and play with a toy. She rolls over for belly rubs. There wasn't any barking yesterday, just playing. She walks good on a leash, too. Malorie gets along well with other dogs.

This breed only sheds when you brush it. They generally live 10 to 12 years. The size depends on what mix she may be, or not be. She should be between 75 and 95 pounds. This breed is known for the happy-go-luck, clownish-type personality. They are not a nervous nor aggressive breed.

Malorie will need to be inside during the hot months of the summer. She will make an excellent family pet. Malorie is an active puppy but will eventually enjoy hanging out in the family room watching TV with the kids. These dogs are people dogs. They are very smart and can adapt well to many different lifestyles.

The Old English Sheepdog is a large dog, immediately recognizable by its long, thick, shaggy grey and white coat, with fur covering their face and eyes. The ears lie flat to the head. Historically, the breed's tail was commonly docked (resulting in a panda bear-like rear end), but tailed Old English sheepdogs are now common, as many countries have outlawed cosmetic docking. When the dog has a tail, it has long fur (feathering), is low set, and normally hangs down. The Old English Sheepdog stands lower at the shoulder than at the loin, and walks with a "bear-like roll from the rear".

Height at the withers is at least 61 cm (24 in), with females slightly smaller than males. The body is short and compact, and ideal weights are not specified, but may be as much as 46 kg (101 lb) for large males.

Color of the double coat may be any shade of grey, grizzle, black, blue, or blue merle, with optional white markings. The undercoat is water resistant. Puppies are born with a black and white coat, and it is only after the puppy coat has been shed that the more common grey or silver shaggy hair appears.Old English Sheepdogs only shed when they are brushed.

If you sponsor a dog that means that you will pay the fee to have the dog fixed and get a rabies vaccination. Once that is done, the adoption fee will only be $40, which makes it much easier to get a dog adopted from the shelter.The Animal Care and Adoption Center in Texarkana, Ark., is our only animal shelter in town. They have a few hundred dogs and cats that need to be reclaimed or adopted. Room is always an issue at a city animal shelter. The shelter's adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet. You can also have your pet microchipped for only $20 right at the shelter. That way if your pet is ever lost, he or she can be returned to you quickly.
