Pet Adoptions at Petsmart on Sunday

UPDATE--ADDITIONAL PHOTOS ADDED. Texarkana Animal League, Muttley Crew Rescue, Little Paws Rescue and Passion for Pooches, will participate in an adoption event this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This event is a Pro Plan Rally to Rescue event. Each adopter will receive samples of Pro-Plan products and coupons for a free bag of Pro Plan food, plus a $5.00 off coupon.

There will be a variety of small, medium and large breed dogs looking for new homes. Schnauzers, Chihuahuas, a Mini Pin, Chuggles, a Dachshund, a Boxer/Hound mix female, a Black and Grey Catahula male, a two-year old German Shepherd male and many other small and medium sized breeds. These dogs are in the homes of dog rescuers and foster homes.

All of these animals are current on their vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered; many are also microchipped.  Adoption fees vary per dog. The individuals that run these dog rescues pay to have the animals vetted. The money comes from their pockets, donations and adoption fees. Here are some of the dogs that will be at the event:

Becan is approximately 8 months old. He is Schnauzer/Daschund mix. Leash trained, housetrained and ready for new home. Great all around sweet little boy.

Ben is less than two years old. He is a full-blooded German Shepherd. Very smart and very sweet. He is leash trained and crate trained. A five-foot fence or larger will suit him best. He will also be a quick learner for house training.

Bella is a fabulous dog! She is a year and a half old. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Bella is house trained and crate trained. She is great on a leash and LOVES to go for car rides. Bella is good with all dogs. She likes to play. She is quiet. Bella can clear a 6' fence so she will need to be a house dog with monitored outside time until she gets used to a routine. Bella is a loving dog and enjoys spending time with her people. Her energy level is low to medium. She loves to cuddle and forms a strong bond with her person while still being a sweetheart to the rest of the family. She is a couch-potato.

Blue is three to four years old. He is a soulful, wonderful dog. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He is low to medium energy. He is crate trained and house trained. Blue is very mellow. He loves to play! He is very good with other dogs and enjoys playing with Bella and the resident German Shepherd. Blue is very quiet. He can clear a four foot fence so he will need a taller fenced yard. He is a house dog and enjoys laying on dog beds or the couch, whichever he is asked to do.

Hi, I'm Alley. A 11week old angel. I'm precious and a baby doll..I'm fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and on monthly heartworm preventative. I am crate trained, doing very well on my housetraining. I am a perfect, little love bug and looking for a fURever home. This is Trixie. Trixie is a 5 year old Min Pin, weights 9lbs. She is fully vetted with spay, shots/rabies, mictochipped, and heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. Trixie is house broken and crate trained, she's learning the doggy dog now. She is great with other dogs and loves children. This is Scooby. He is a 1 year old Chihuahua/Pug mix...Chug!! Scooby is fully vetted with neuter, shots/rabies, microchipped, and heartworm negative and on prevention. This is a litter from one of two dogs rescued by a young man. Dogs had been dumped at church camp and when the camp was over, he couldn't bare/bear?? to leave them behind to fend for themselves. Parents said he could bring them home. After several days, they discovered one was pregnant. They are now ready to go to their new homes and will require a sterilization agreement.

Petsmart is located at 117 Richmond Road Ranch in Texarkana, Texas.
