Texas side police say they had to use one of their new pepper guns on a customer at a local restaurant.

Officers utilized the JPX Cobra 450 pepper gun to arrest a man who was exhibiting unusual behavior.
At 12:30 p.m. yesterday, officers were dispatched to a suspicious person call at the McDonalds Restaurant in the 1700 block of New Boston Road.  Upon their arrival, they were directed to James Laray Moore, 38, of Texarkana Texas.  Moore was sitting alone in a corner booth, where he was sweating profusely and mumbling to himself.  As the officers attempted to talk to Moore, he continued to mumble as though he did not know the officers were there.  At one point, Moore removed his shirt and began to swing it over his head as one would a rope.
The restaurant manager then informed the officers that Moore needed to leave because of his behavior.  The officers’ repeated directions for him to immediately leave were ignored.  Moore was then advised that he was under arrest and should stand up.  After Moore continued to ignore their commands and warnings that the pepper gun would be used, officers fired a single shot from the pepper gun.  When that had seemingly little effect on Moore, they shot a second time.  With Moore physically resisting, officers were forced to pull him from the booth and onto the floor.  He was handcuffed and transported to the Bi-State Jail.
Moore was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
