Payless Shoe Source in Texarkana to Close

USA Today says that Payless shoe source just released a list of 800 stores that it will close across the United States and there is one in Texarkana.

The Payless store on Arkansas Blvd. is slated to close but no date has been set as of now. The Payless company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and planned on closing about 400 stores.

The company has asked the court to let it close another 408 stores and unfortunately Texarkana is on the list. The list includes includes many stores in Texas including locations in Houston, McKinney and Round Rock, but the Texarkana Texas stores are not on the list.

The store on Arkansas Blvd. is one of those I forget about because of its location. But I always hate seeing a place go out of business.

With this location closing, what do you think needs top go into the building, that Texarkana desperately needs?
