Do you enjoy watching the Oscars?40.3 million people watched the Oscars hosted by Seth MacFarlane, including my husband and myself. Everyone has a different category that interests them the most. I watch the Oscars for the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Documentary Feature because I love to broaden my scope of the world.

Hence, my excitement that a "short list of Oscar-nominated documentary features was released yesterday; four of the 15 listed films stem from heated controversy or great achievement in the realm of nature, exploration, and world-class athletes" according to Outside magazine.

The film "Which Way Is the Front Line from Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington", directed by Sebastian Junger, was one of the films on the short list that "traces Hetherington's work across the world's battlefields to reveal how he transcended the boundaries of image-making to become a luminary in his profession" according to HBO.

This film is a beautiful expression of how one man chose to bring to light the sufferings of humanity. Thanks Sebastian Junger for paying tribute to your dear friend,Tim Hetherington. On Jan. 16th, we will find out if this moving documentary will be included in the five nominations for Best Documentary Feature at the Oscars.
