Yet another major career milestone for One Direction.  The British boy band recently became the first-ever UK act to debut on the Billboard album chart at #1 with a first album.  Now, they'll be headlining one of the most prestigious American concert venues: New York City's Madison Square Garden.  Tickets for the December 3 show go on sale this Friday, April 6 at 5 p.m. ET. The group's recently-announced North American headlining tour, scheduled for May and June, sold out in minutes, so they decided to give their fans one more big opportunity to see them play live.

In a statement, group member Niall Horan said, "We are so happy to be playing Madison Square Garden.  To be headlining our OWN show in a venue that has played host to countless legendary acts that we have grown up listening to and adore is obviously a dream come true for us all."

This weekend, One Direction will mark another milestone: they'll be the musical guests on Saturday Night Live.
