Pfizer is recalling approximately one million packets of birth control pills over concerns that the pills  might not have enough contraceptive in them to prevent pregnancy.  According to the company's website, it was a packaging error.

Pfizer is urging consumers who used the pills involved to start using "a non-hormonal form of contraception immediately." That is enough to make anyone freak out.

The pills affected are 14 lots of:

  • Lo/Overal-28 tablets
  • 14 lots of Norgestrel/Ethinyl Estradiol tablets

Check the company's website for lot numbers and what actions to take if you have any of these pills.
