This week is natinal EMS week and Lifenet will celebrate with a luncheon tomorrow at the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.LifeNet will be celebrating National EMS Week honoring all EMS, first responders, fire and law enforcement officers during a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held on the grounds at the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.

National Emergency Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front-line." This year's theme is - EMS: Dedicated for Life.

EMS providers include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders, fire fighters and police. National events included the Stars of Life Celebration, held March 24-26 in Washington, DC, which pays tribute to paramedics and EMS personnel who exemplify what is the best about their service.

As part of the EMS festivities all of LifeNet's division operations will host a lunch or dinner honoring EMS professionals, area 1st Responder Organizations and fire and law enforcement agencies. Texarkana will host a BBQ lunch on Tuesday, May 20, Hot Springs will host a fish fry lunch on Thursday, May 22, Clarksville (Red River County) will host a dinner on Thursday, May 22 and Stillwater will host a lunch on Wednesday, May 21.
