Ms.Mac And The Groovetones At Hippy’s Night Life Saturday Night
Ms. Mac and The Groovetones will be rockin’ out for the one year anniversary of Hippy’s Night Life Saturday night.Ms. Mac and the Groovetones was born one hot summer in 2004, in an obscure little town in Southwest Arkansas, but nothing about this band is at all obscure. In fact, they are one of the most popular classic rock and R & B bands in the Four States area.
The band performs in various local venues such as Fat Jack’s, Quincey’s, Purple Rain, and Shooter’s. Other venues include Abendigo’s Restaurant, in Oklahoma, both Duck Horn Tavern locations in Central Texas, the Hangin’ Judge Saloon in Fort Smith, Bogart’s and Dockers in Hot Springs, and the prestigious Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. They are a featured artist at several festivals including StarDaze, Lum & Abner Days, Alleyfest, and the Eldorado Music Fest. They have opened for Shenandoah, the Little River Band, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and have performed with many other national and regional acts. They also perform for private functions of any kind, and have supported organizations such as Relay for Life, CASA, and Toys for Tots. Ms Mac and the Groovtones has performed for the Texarkana Regional Arts & Humanities Council at Rockin’ The ArtSpark, the 2009 Four States Fair, and the inaugural Stateline Music Festival. The band has also been featured in publications such as the Texarkana Gazette and HER Magazine.
