I won one of those silent auction deals at the Mistletoe Fair this year. It was a private party dinner for four people at Twisted Vines. I wanted to have a nice holiday dinner with family and friends so I rushed to schedule it before Christmas.

What an amazing experience and an incredible dinner. The atmosphere was more than I could have asked for! We had the entire place to ourselves. We were catered to like rock stars.

Dinner was my planned around one of my favorite foods, there was Christmas music playing in the background as well as the Miracle on 34th Street movie on a huge screen. The scene was set for a fabulous evening.

Dinner was prepared by Executive Chef Bryan Ogburn who we have had in the studio before. The meal included a salad of Mixed greens, crisp apple, bleu cheese and toasted almonds drizzled with balsamic pinot noir vinaigrette. The entree was a trio of pistachio-encrusted lamb chops served atop sweet cream polenta and garnished with a red and yellow pepper jus along with a sauteed broccoli almondine. Dessert was Chambord Creme Brulee with Caramel and Raspberry Sauce.

I sound like I am some sort of an expert now don't I? Well actually Chef Bryan's wife, the beautiful Jennifer Crawford-Ogburn, emailed the dinner to me because I couldn't think beyond the yummy dinner I was eating.

I could eat like that every day! Twisted Vines is located in Downtown Texarkana. They serve lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11AM to 2PM and it is easy on your pocket book at $8.95.
