If you've wondered why Miley Cyrus appears to have suddenly lost her mind, she's got an explanation for you: she's reclaiming the childhood she never had.

Miley said after Hannah Montana ended, she felt as if she'd spent so many years working so hard that she "took off work and just wanted to party."  She moved out of her parents' house and into her own place, built a skate ramp in her backyard, and acquired a Maserati with a Ferrari engine.  "I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid. So now I'm an adult and I'm acting like a kid," 20-year-old Miley explains. "There are times when I'm sitting in my big ole house and I'm like, 'I can't believe I'm allowed to be here alone.'"

As for her acting career, Miley says she's putting that aside for now to focus on her music.  Instead, she says, she'll focus that acting energy into her headline-grabbing videos. "I want to make all of my music videos so epic that it feels like I'm still involved with acting," she says.

Se certainly has made them epic: "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop" have racked up record numbers of views on Vevo.  In fact, "Wrecking Ball" has just become the fastest music video ever to reach Vevo Certified status, racking up 100 million views in just six days.  The previous record was held by "We Can't Stop," which took 37 days to log 100 million views.

Miley says the initial success of her "We Can't Stop" was the proof that she's doing something right. She explains that when she first approached her label with the idea of "We Can't Stop," she told them, "This is the first time I'm showing you what I'm bringing to the table as an artist. If this goes wrong, you never have to trust me again. I'll be your little puppet. But if I'm right, then you know I'm on to something.'
