Former Pleasant Grove Baseball star Michael Wacha is likely to start Game Two of the National League Championship Series Saturday in St. Louis.  The Cardinals will be taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the best of seven series, with the winner advancing to this years World Series. The rookie pitcher has been nothing short of amazing in his last two starts.

Wacha was one out away from tossing a no-hitter against the Washington Nationals in late September. Then on Monday of this week, he pitched a no-hitter into the 8th inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates   He allowed just one run on one hit as the Cardinals staved off playoff elimination thanks to his gem of a game.

St. Louis advanced to the NLCS after beating the Pirates in Game five last night behind the complete game pitching of Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright.

It is likely that Wacha will pitch Game Two in St. Louis on Saturday and if necessary Game Six  next Friday also in Missouri. Wainwright will probably pitch Game Three in Los Angeles on Monday and if necessary Game 7 in St. Louis a week from Saturday.

Continued good luck to Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals.
