Former Pleasant Grove Baseball star Michael Wacha continues to pitch like a crafty veteran, instead of a rookie for the St. Louis Cardinals.Wacha  pitched his team to victory Saturday in Game Two of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He lasted into the seventh inning and did not give up any runs to the Dodgers.

Michael has now had three superior outings in a row. He came within one out of a no-hitter in late September. He also pitched a no-hitter into the eighth inning against Pittsburgh in the NLDS.

The Cardinals have a 2-0 lead in the best of seven NLCS as the series resumes tonight in Los Angeles. St.Louis has their ace Adam Wainwright on the mound as they try to build a commanding series lead in their efforts to make it back to the World Series for the third time in the last eight years.

St. Louis beat Detroit in the Series in 2006, and the Rangers in 2011.
