This dog was supposedly found approximately two months ago wandering around the Tennessee Road area in Texarkana, Ark. The person who dropped him off at the shelter said he has tried to find the owner with no luck. Now, this boy will wait at the shelter for his owners to reclaim him or someone to adopt him.

If you loose a dog and it winds up at the shelter, you have three to five days to reclaim your pet before it can be put up for adoption or even worse -- euthanized. That is why it is so important to microchip your pets.

If you have lost your dog, you should visit the animal shelter right away. Take a "lost" flyer with a photo of your lost dog with you and pin it on the wall at the shelter. Walk the adoption floor and stray hold areas to look for your animal. Do not simply call the shelter because only you know what your dog looks like so please do not try to describe it to someone who works in the front office of the shelter as they may not see your dog.
