For those of you who might be interested in learning some new moves, attend the American Tribal Style workshop on Friday, Sept. 25 just in time for the Renaissance Faire. Invite your friends then learn to dance with the gypsies on the street.

The Texarkana Renaissance Faire is here and you can fit right in by taking a quick course to learn a little bit of American Tribal Style Belly Dance improvise moves. Join in the fun during this workshop.

The event is Friday, Sept. 25, from 5PM to 7PM at Diva's Dance Illusions, 830 Kingsway Texarkana, Texas.

Please bring water and wear comfortable practice wear. Dance shoes optional. Practice wear is what ever you feel comfortable in, tank top or sports bra or a Choli if you have one.

What is a Choli? Wikipedia says it is for those who are hearing this word for the first time ever: "A choli is a midriff-baring blouse shell garment in the Indian sari costume worn in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and other countries where the sari is worn. The choli is cut to fit tightly to the body and has short sleeves and a low neck. The choli is usually cropped, allowing exposure of the navel; the cropped design is particularly well-suited for wear in the hot South Asian summers."

Performers will be dancing on tile flooring and the space will fit 25 dancers. A suggestion of $10 is anticipated for this two-hour workshop. If card is your preferred method of payment, please arrive early. For more information visit the event on Facebook.
