Lady Gaga's makeup artist confirms that the singer suffered a concussion after being smacked on the head with a metal pole during her New Zealand show on Sunday. The makeup artist, Tara Sevelo, tweeted on Sunday, "Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I'm taking care of her. Can't believe she finished the show."

Gaga had completed half of her concert at the Vector Arena when a metal pole being moved by a dancer clunked her on the head.

According to TMZ, Gaga said after the incident, "I want to apologize. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don't you worry, I will finish this show."  A video clip of the accident posted on TMZ shows the singer looking slightly dazed and staggering down from a castle while holding a fake machine gun prop.

Gaga did three New Zealand concerts. Her next stop will be at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia on Wednesday.
