Want to learn more about diamonds? Well OF COURSE you do, silly.

You're in luck because if you do, the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, AR is having a Heritage Day on Saturday, August 3 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Diamond Discover Center Classroom.

Every year the Crater of Diamonds State Park celebrates the diamond mine and state park history with a day of learning programs near the date that John Huddleston found the very first diamond (which was August 8 by the way).

This year the keynote speaker is Rick Floyd who is a member of the Pike County Archives and History Society. Other programs will be presented by various park staff members.

Want to hear the best news of all? It is FREE and open to the public!

So, why wouldn't you want to learn more about diamonds?
