The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has announced that its officers will be out in force during the Fourth of July period cracking down on impaired drivers. Officers will be conducting an aggressive Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest enforcement effort.
During the July 4th holiday period in 2009, there were a total of 410 U.S. traffic related fatalities. Of those, 40% involved a driver or motorcycle rider with a BAC of .08 or higher.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is cutting gas prices by 10 cents a gallon for three months. The world’s biggest retailer says customers visiting participating Murphy USA and Wal-Mart gas stations from Wednesday thru September 30 will receive the discount on all fuel, gas, and diesel purchases when they use a reloadable Wal-Mart Gift Card, Wal-Mart MoneyCard or Wal-Mart Credit Card.
The Texas Rangers Defeated the Houston Astros in Interleague Baseball play last night. The Rangers won 7-3 at the Astros Minute Maid Park in Houston.
