There is a Tornado Watch in effect until 6pm this evening. Severe Thunderstorms with heavy rains, damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornados are possible across the area this afternoon and early evening.

Voters are headed to the polls today in Arkansas and Texas. In Arkansas voters will decide whether to extend a bond issue first passed back in 1999 which provides funds to repair and rehabilitate roadways and interstates in the Natural State.  In Texas, voters are considering 10 constitutional amendments.

Polls close at 7pm in Texas and 7:30 pm in Arkansas.

An accident involving a school bus and a suv yesterday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Texas Side police say the accident occurred at the intersection of West 37th Street and Elizabeth when the driver of the suv failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the bus. No one on the school bus was injured.

In Sports;

The Liberty-Eylau Leopards are hosting a hot dog supper and community football playoff pep rally this evening at the high school. The hot dog supper includes chips and a drink for $3 from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Media Center followed by the pep rally starting at 6:30 at the Rader Dome. Playoff game tickets will be sold and there will be a concession stand. L-E plays Carthage in Longview on Thursday Night.
