The Texarkana Airport Authority is getting nearly a half million dollar grant. The funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation will pay for an environmental assessment that is required before construction can begin to help pay for a new airport terminal project.

The vice mayor of Hope, Arkansas is facing a misdemeanor theft charge after authorites say he took cash from a woman at a restaurant. David Johnson is set to appear in court in early October. He's been vice mayor since 1993.

A Waldo Arkansas man has entered a not-guilty plea to a capital murder charge after authorities say he killed a woman at the south Arkansas post office in July. Prosecutors have yet to say whether they will seek the death penalty in the case against 30 year old William Blackmon.
