Okay, the New Year is here and maybe one of your goals is to look for a new job. Well, if you want something completely daring and different then I've got just the job for you. First of all, you better have some great insurance and must be a bit of an adrenaline junkie, a little crazy and not scared of heights.Being in radio, I've always admired those guys who climb the radio and TV towers for maintenance and change out light bulbs. But I have to admit, it takes a special breed to do what they do. In talking with a former engineer who changed a light bulb out on one of our towers, I asked him about his experience.

"Besides hearing nothing but the wind," he said, "when your up there you try to focus on what's in front of you and don't look down." He said, "the scariest part is feeling the tower sway in the wind and don't expect to yell down at your co-worker below because he can't hear you that far up. And by all means, carry a change of underwear, too."

I watched this video from Prairie Aerial and it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Here's another amazing video provided by Todd Horning via YouTube.
