Housework — Who is Doing the Most?

It seems strange to say but according to a recent study, the amount of housework has declined by 23 percent in the last 50 years. The reason is because men do more than they used to. Surprise, surprise but men have more than doubled their share of housework since the 1960s. Although, women still do the majority of the housework which equates to 18 hours a week for women and 10 hours a week for men.

Why is that?

Is this because guys are lazy jerks who don’t care that their wives are wasting their lives away, scrubbing floors and polishing silverware? Or, could it be that wives want cleaner homes – and husbands don't care as much. Probably the latter, thankfully because if I was married to a neat freak I would be in serious trouble!
