Hard Freeze Warning

Hard Freeze Warning in effect from 10pm this evening to 10am cst Thursday.

* A very cold arctic air mass has settled southward across the regions this afternoon, an extensive snow and ice pack across much of the Ark-La-Tex. Temps will fall into the LWR & Middle teens overnight across much of Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma and all of Southwest Arkansas.

* Impacts: These extremely cold temps will persist through the overnight hours before slowly climbing into the 20's by mid-morning Thursday. Resident should take precautions to protect plants, water pipes and pets from these very cold conditions. Residents should take precautions to precautionary/preparedness actions.

A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temps are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
