The Texarkana area is about to go from fall to winter-like for the next couple of days. The first couple of freezes of the young season are set to hit tonight and Wednesday night across the entire Four States Area. Temperatures expected to plummet to the mid 20's tonight and the upper 20's for tomorrow night.

The good news is no precipitation is forecast and the weather should be mostly sunny. With a hard freeze, you should take precautions around your home. Be sure and wrap any exposed pipes so that they will not freeze and burst.

It is also a good time to check the anti-freeze in your vehicles if you have not done so already. Remember your pets and give them a warm place to sleep and get out of the cold frosty weather.

The weather pattern will return to mid fall type temperatures by the weekend, but unfortunately a chance for rain will come with the warm-up.
