The second annual Fur Ball is this Saturday in Texarkana. The funds raised will benefit our local animal shelter, the Animal Care and Adoption Center, in Texarkana, Ark.

The Fur Ball will be held at Silvermoon on Broad Street in downtown Texarkana. The ball starts at 6:30PM and you can party like an animal until 10:30PM. Dress is cocktail/business attire. Tickets are $75 per person.

This event helps the animal shelter in Texarkana. The Texarkana Friends of the Shelter help out in so many ways. Recently they helped spay and neuter many dogs and cats that were adopted by local citizens.

Debbie Brower, President of the Texarkana Friends of the Shelter group says, "Through the generosity of our supporters and donors, we plan to help save countless lives of many homeless animals in the Texarkana area, and this event will be one of several fundraisers we will be hosting this year."

Visit the event page on Facebook or Texarkana Friends of the Shelter online for more details. Proceeds from the event will support the Animal Care and Adoption Center which is the only animal shelter in Texarkana.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center is in need of funding for many projects. It is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless and unwanted pets that come into its care by providing shelter and medical care while finding loving, responsible, permanent homes for the animals.

Brower wants everyone to know that, "For our sponsors, your donations will be a contribution to help the homeless and unwanted animals of our area. We thank you in advance for your willingness to help!" To get more information about the Fur Ball, call 903-334-9605.
