Another East Texas being sought by authorities in the Lone Star State has been captured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) added 27 year old Jack Sterns Jr. to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, and a cash reward of up to $7,500 was being offered for information leading to his capture. Sterns, affiliated with the Crips gang, is wanted for parole violation, aggravated robbery and evading arrest. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Sterns had been wanted since December 2017 and has ties to Nacogdoches County. His criminal history includes aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, engaging in organized criminal activity, assault, unlawful carrying of a weapon, deadly conduct, evading arrest/detention and drug possession.

Sterns is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He has tattoos on his abdomen, back, chest, both arms and right leg, and scars on his abdomen, back, left leg and right forearm. Sterns may also be known by the nickname “Jay Jay.” For more information or updates in the event of his arrest, see his wanted bulletin.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders. Last year, Texas Crime Stoppers paid $61,000 in total rewards for anonymous tips that resulted in arrests.
