Father’s Day: Last Minute Gift Ideas for Dad, Good and Bad
Are you still trying to figure out what to get dad? Sometimes it is hard to find a gift that he will use and enjoy. Ties are out. Socks, wrenches and talking wall-hanging fish are out. So what is left? Here are a few ideas for gifts on this Father’s Day.
Good Gift Ideas for Dad: An activity you can do with him like golfing or going out to eat; gift card to his favorite store; clothing if it is something that he likes–stay away from ties, socks and underwear; and anything that is the latest, greatest electronics.
Bad Gift Ideas: Anything that talks or sings and anything that looks silly like the king of the backyard BBQ hats or aprons.
How much should you spend on dad? According to a new survey from the National Retail Federation, the average shopper will spend $106 on dad this Father’s Day, up 13 percent from last year. Even so, Father’s Day still takes a back seat to spending on Mother’s Day which was an average of $141.
