Fall Gathering of Authors Charity Event & Book Signing

The 5th Annual Fall Gathering of Authors events to benefit St. Jude and Arkansas Children's Hospital are this weekend. There is a charity dinner and book signing event scheduled.

This is the 2014 Dream Catchers Bookl. Written by 35 aspiring young authors, all helping to raise money for St. Jude and Arkansas Children's. The book is ONLY $10.00 at the event, $12.00 online after that. Please come support these kids, this book and all of the authors participating this year. We need to remember there's nothing like holding a book in your hand. Nothing can replace that. Hope to see you on Nov. 8th.

There will be many authors available to autograph books along with kids with this year's Dream Catcher's book, written by the kids. Free food and drinks all day, health screenings, free flu shots, Kids Korner with arts, crafts and story time, dozens of door prizes given away all day long. Venders will be set up at the event.

All money made at this event will be divided between St. Jude and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Friday, Nov. 7 from  7 p.m. to  9 p.m., Gathering of Authors Charity Dinner benefiting St. Jude and Arkansas Children's Hospital. Tickets are ONLY $15.00 per person and there will be a family from ACH and St. Jude to speak. Enjoy a silent auction with some fabulous items. It will be a night full of blessings.

THE MAIN EVENT

Saturday, Nov. 8th from 10 am to 3 pm -- Gathering of Authors Book Signing Event

Welcoming 26 authors this year along with the many kids who have stories in the 2014 DREAM CATCHERS book. Not only will you get to meet all of these incredible authors and get their autographs, you will also enjoy bringing the kids for the kids corner, face painting, and free food and drinks all day long. There will be free Health Screenings, Vendors set up to sell different items and dozens of door prizes all day long. All proceeds from this event are donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

HELP IN FINDING A CURE THROUGH LITERACY!!

Tammy Thompson is the driving force behind this event. She said, "I founded the Fall 'Gathering of Authors' Charity Event & Book Signing to promote literacy in kids and to help St. Jude as well as Arkansas Children's hospital. Funding each year for this event gets hard to find and we would appreciate your help. We have a book called DREAM CATCHERS published compiled of stories kids have written and submitted to our yearly writing contest. All proceeds from the sales of this book go to our charities. With this book, the kids who have stories in it, will come to our event and autograph along with all of the authors attending. Buying the books we need is the dillema. These kids are so looking forward to it and without funding we won't have enough money to buy all the books we need. DREAM CATCHERS Vol 2 is available online for everyone to purchase. All proceeds from this book is given straight to St. Jude and Arkansas Children's. Help in this "Kids Helping Kids" effort, one child saving another's life through literacy and heart."
