After several weeks at #2, Eminem and Rihanna's duet "The Monster" has finally reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and made some history in the process.

The song becomes Rihanna's 13th #1 hit.  According to Billboard, she's now tied with Michael Jackson for the third-most chart-toppers in history.  She now has more #1 hits than Madonna, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson or Stevie Wonder. There are now only two artists who've had more: Mariah Carey, with 18, and The Beatles, with 20.  In addition, Rihanna only took seven years and seven months to blow past these music legends.  Only the Beatles racked up 13 #1 hits more quickly, in three years and 17 days.

Meanwhile, Eminem has made some history of his own: he's now tied the record for most #1 hits by a rapper, with five.  Both Diddy and Ludacris also have five.  They all have more #1 hits than Jay Z, who has four.

"The Monster" is Eminem and Rihanna's second #1 hit collabo they previously topped the charts with "Love the Way You Lie" in 2010.
