Ed Sheeran has been relentlessly teasing fans over the past few days about his forthcoming new musical release, while simultaneously refusing to divulge any concrete details about a (possible) new album. Still, he promised new music would be headed to the public come Friday (January 6), and he's finally posted two short clips of said track to Twitter.

The ten-second clips say the new track is expected to drop tomorrow at 5AM GMT and 12AM EST.

Fans have thus far surmised the "Thinking Out Loud" singer's forthcoming album will likely fall in line with his past album titles -- which include 2011's + and 2014's x -- and be called ÷ (divide), based on a tweet Sheeran sent out of the symbol yesterday (January 4).

Sheeran made his triumphant return to social media on December 13, 2016 -- a full year after the "Don't" singer announced he was embarking on a lengthy self-imposed break.

Sheeran posted a photo of a blue box across his various online platforms with no further explanation, leaving fans to assume it marked the beginning of a new musical era.

And so it appears to be: While Sheeran has yet to announce an official release date for his forthcoming album, a new single is, at least, a good start.

Check out the ten-second clip of Sheeran's new song in the video above.
