The old saying is if you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a few minutes and it will change. That is certainly the case in Texarkana. Temperatures on a sunny Saturday afternoon were pushing 80 degrees. Two days later and the low tonight will be just above freezing at around 34 degrees.

High temperatures on Tuesday should be around 60 with a low Tuesday night back in the mid 30's. A light frost can not be ruled out and freezing temperatures tonight are possible across Southeast Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas, and portions of Northeast Texas.

It seems most every year there is a late shot of chilly air which invades the area around or right before Easter. Easter is this coming Sunday April 20th, so the cool air is not totally unexpected.

Looks, like we will settle into warmer Spring weather after this last big surge of Arctic air moves out of the region later this week.
