Driving to Work in Texarkana Can Be Quick or Slow

Compared to larger cities, Texarkana has very little traffic, but that doesn't measure how long you have to commute to work, of course. According to the website factsweb.org the average commute time in Texarkana is 17.5 minutes. The site also says that 82.47 percent of us commute alone to work. We asked our Facebook audience what their commute time was and we had some answers that went way above average.

As you can see in our Facebook answers, we have some folks with very short commutes and then there's Darci who commutes over an hour to get to work. According to the website, 54.28 percent of us commute less than 15 minutes to work. I fall into that category since my commute is about nine minutes.

The average commute time for folks in Texas is 28 minutes and the average time in Arkansas is 23 minutes. Be happy that you do not live in Maryland or New York where there average commute is 32 minutes -- when there are no traffic jams.
