Demi Lovato wears many hats — singer, survivor, actress, activist — and now a ten gallon one may be in the works. Taste of Country reports that Lovato is considering going country!

The starlet teased her fans on Twitter yesterday, writing, “Wrote my first country song today.” In addition to penning her own tune, the ‘Skyscraper’ songstress has been taking a lot in. Just this week alone, Lovato revealed she loves Eli Young Band‘s ‘Crazy Girl,’ Rascal Flatts‘ ‘What Hurts the Most’ and Kenny Chesney‘s ‘The Good Stuff.’

Lovato’s been rumored to be branching out into other musical styles for some time. Her most recent album, ‘Unbroken,’ has collaborations with Timbaland and Dev, and she’s in talks to duet with BFF Selena Gomez‘s beau, Justin Bieber. Her performance at the Latin Grammys spawned talk of a Spanish-language album. While the move to country seems out of character for the pop star and self-professed metal head, Lovato actually has background in the genre. Her mother, Dianna Hart de la Garza, is a former country singer.

This sounds like an interesting move for the lovely Lovato. We smell a tour with Taylor Swift brewing!
