Here is a little history of the St. Jude Children;s Hospital, via St. Jude.

When late entertainer Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 1962, he was not just changing the lives of those children who would walk through its doors. He was changing lives across the world.

St. Jude Children’s Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.

When you become a Partner in Hope, you're helping St. Jude Children's Research Hospital lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.

Because of you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. And St. Jude freely shares the discoveries made, so every child saved at St. Jude means thousands more children can be saved around the world and in your community.

St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer. You can help. Visit St. Jude.
