Come Together for Meagan Mauldin Love for the Cure Fund

The annual Meagan Mauldin Love For The Cure Spring fundraiser is Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hot Tails Crawfish in Texarkana. This event raises funds for cancer patient expenses and celebrates the life and love of Meagan Mauldin.

Meagan Mauldin was a very special, very unique and extremely strong young lady. I never met Meagan but I feel like I knew her. She took us along and shared the tremendous struggles she faced during her illness yet she showed us her strength as well as her belief in heaven and her love of God. For such a young person to teach so many of us about love, loss and hope it is truly amazing.

This Saturday there will be a benefit to raise money for Meagan Mauldin's Love for the Cure Fund, which helps cover expenses of other families that are battling this horrible disease of cancer. Come celebrate Meagan's life and give to this most worthy cause from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hot Tails Crawfish Hut located on Hwy 71, approximately five miles north of I-30, near the Red River bridge.

There will be t-shirts, bracelets and baked goods available to purchase. All proceeds go to cancer patients' medical, living and travel expenses.

If you would like to help out but cannot make the event, the Meagan Mauldin Love For The Cure Fund has been set up at Red River Credit Union in memory of Meagan for families fighting cancer who are in need of financial assistance.
