It won’t reach stores for another month, but Coldplay‘s new album, ‘Mylo Xyloto,’ is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the fall. And the band is doing a fine job of ramping up the buzz for ‘Mylo,’ releasing a pair of impeccably timed singles (‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall’ and ‘Paradise’) in between revealing the album artwork and track listing.

Fans were treated to another sneak peek at the new record last week when the band debuted a new song, ‘Up in Flames,’ during its appearance on ‘Austin City Limits.’

Vocalist Chris Martin told the crowd that the gentle ballad was one of the last tracks completed for ‘Mylo Xyloto’ — in fact, they recorded it just a little over a month before performing it on the show. ‘Up in Flames’ finds Coldplay exploring its softer side, closer to ‘The Scientist’ than ‘Every Teardrop,’ with Martin breaking into his falsetto during the chorus.

The fan-filmed footage isn’t of the highest quality, but it’ll still give you another idea of what to expect when ‘Mylo Xyloto’ debuts on October 24. What do you think?
