This Saturday evening in downtown Texarkana, the Silvermoon will be hosting a "Charles B. Pierce Mini-Retrospective" to honor and commemorate the life and works of one of the founding fathers of the independent film movement.

This is going to be a lot of fun with a complimentary "Concessions Buffet", including beer and wine for those who are "of age", followed by TWO great Classic Charles B. Pierce films "Winterhawk" and "The Evictors". (During intermission there will be a HUGE announcement that you do not want to miss.)

Tickets for the event are $25 at the door, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Locally, some remember Charlie from his early days as "Mayor Chuckles", others from the movies he did in the area, "The Town that Dreaded Sundown", or "The Legend of Boggy Creek", but Charlie was a true artist. He wrote, he painted, and he would draw. Just a creative being to his bones. I was fortunate to know Charlie personally and was honored to call him a friend. As creative, and talented as he was I remember his laughter the most.

Don't think that Charlie, or "Spark Plug" to his friends, only did a few movies, he was involved in many projects over the years, including "The Outlaw Josey Wales", and another film with Clint Eastwood, "Sudden Impact" which he wrote. The line, "Go ahead, make my day"... all Sparky.

Do not miss the opportunity to be a part of this event, for more information call 903-824-5122.
