The Southeast Oklahoma Dirt Road Country Band Chalkline 259 we be playing live at Fat Jack's Friday night.Chalkline 259 is an up-and-coming band from Southeast Oklahoma with a Red Dirt Country sound coupled with the Blues, something they like to call the “dirty blues.” The band members include singer/songwriter/guitarist Matt Ash, vocalist Hope Ash, drummer Mitch Green, and bass player Jimmy George.

Chalkline 259 got its start in June of 2010, with the kismet meeting of Matt and Hope, who are now married. The couple began playing local venues throughout McCurtain Co. Killing their selves driving up and down Hwy 259, the band name Chalkline 259 was inspired. They then recorded a six-song EP, and hit the road touring in Indiana and Virginia.

In August of 2011, friend of the band, Jimmy George, learned to play bass and plugged in. In July of 2012 Mitch Green was recruited as the bands new drummer. Here is a video of the band at a local festival.
