As a winter storm moves into our area, many schools are deciding to close this morning while others are still planning to start late. Here is the list of schools that are either closed or starting late for Wednesday, Feb. 25. We will update this list as more information comes available.

With sleet, snow and freezing rain falling for a majority of Monday, Feb. 23, the roads were a treacherous journey to work, school and running errands. The icy hand Mother Nature uses to maintain her frigid grip on the country is getting even tighter.

After an initial 3.5-magnitude earthquake hit near Irving on Tuesday, an additional 10 tremors have been felt in the area in less than 24 hours.

Western New York State got powder pounded yesterday from lake effect snow and has already hit the record for snowfall in 24 hours. Last I heard they have 76 inches so far!

The weather forecast for this week is shaping up.

There is a 30% chance of thunderstorms today in the Texarkana area. North of our area has a greater chance of storms and at an increased intensity.

Heavy rains are being forecasted for the Texarkana area Monday evening thru Tuesday by the National Weather Service.

The devastation from Sunday's storms throughout Arkansas is still being discovered at this hour. Homes, vehicles, property and lives have been destroyed. We have here some aerial drone video of some of the damage from just south of Mayflower, Arkansas.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has predicted a Significant Severe Weather Outbreak for Sunday April 27 that includes the Ark-La-Tex area. This is very rare, and has only been issued this far in advance a few times in the past.
